• Action Required: Set Up Your SIUE Passkey by February 1 (Monday, October 26, 2026)
  

  Microsoft is changing how you sign in to your SIUE account. By February 1, 2027, you must register a passkey and stop using text messages for verification.

   

  This applies to you even if you already use Microsoft Authenticator.

   

  If you don't make the switch, you will lose access to Blackboard, email, and other SIUE services on February 1. Register now so your access doesn't get interrupted.

• Blackboard Planned Maintenance: November 25, 2026 (Wednesday, September 9, 2026)
  

  Blackboard will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance beginning Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 11:30 p.m.

  Maintenance downtime is expected to last about two hours. During this time, users will be unable to access Blackboard.

  We recommend planning accordingly and completing any time-sensitive work before the maintenance window begins.

  We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as the Blackboard environment is maintained and improved.
